How much does the consultation cost?

A one-off consultation is €35. If the doctor does not approve a treatment, the fee is refunded in full. Medication is paid for separately at the pharmacy.

Is the prescription valid at pharmacies in other EU countries?

Yes. It is a Spanish-issued electronic prescription recognised at pharmacies across all 27 EU member states under Directive 2011/24/EU. In Spain the pharmacy scans the QR code; elsewhere in the EU the pharmacist dispenses the locally-marketed equivalent of the same active ingredient.
