What to know before your consultation

Who the consultation is for

The consultation is for people with a common sexual-health concern that a doctor can assess safely from written answers. Each concern has its own questionnaire, and some ask for a recent test result. Pregnancy, severe pain, fever, a recent possible exposure to a serious infection or sexual assault need in-person care, and you are told before you pay. If online care is not safe for you, the doctor explains why and suggests where to go instead.

How the consultation works

You answer a private questionnaire about your symptoms, your health and anything you currently take. An EU-licensed doctor reads your answers, replies in the secure chat in your account and may ask follow-up questions. The doctor decides whether treatment is appropriate. If it is, you receive an electronic prescription to collect and pay for at a pharmacy of your choice in the EU. If it is not, the doctor explains why and your consultation fee is refunded in full.

Support after the consultation

Your doctor stays available in the same private chat for questions after the consultation. Some concerns need a single consultation, while others are reviewed over time and renewed through a new consultation. Some follow-up plans include regular tests, and the doctor tells you which ones and when. Get back in touch if anything changes, and seek urgent in-person care for any warning sign the doctor has described.

Yes. Your answers are encrypted and only seen by your doctor. Nothing appears on your pharmacy receipt beyond the medicine.
Your doctor tells you which tests to take and where. If treatment is needed, you receive an e-prescription recognised in the EU; each pharmacy decides whether it can dispense it.
Some symptoms need a physical exam. Your doctor will tell you, and if they cannot treat you online we refund the full amount.

Which sexual-health treatments does Hi Doctor cover?
Erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, emergency contraception, urinary tract infections, chlamydia and HIV PrEP, each with its own focused assessment.
€35 for one consultation, paid once. A doctor replies in under 2 hours on average.
Everything happens in your private account. Nothing is stored publicly, and you choose the pharmacy where you collect your medicine.
Sometimes, for example heart disease or diabetes. The doctor looks at your whole history and tells you if an in-person check makes sense.
Adult men who regularly have trouble getting or keeping an erection firm enough for sex. The questionnaire asks about your heart, blood pressure, diabetes and medicines. If your answers point to an underlying cause that needs examining, or treatment would not be safe, the doctor tells you and recommends in-person care, and you are not charged.
The tablets need sexual arousal to work, and it can take a few attempts before they do. If they still don't help, the doctor can consider a different tablet or a topical option. Lifestyle changes such as more activity, less alcohol and stopping smoking can help too, and a urologist or a sex therapist in person can look at other causes and options.
Each sexual-health consultation is one-off, with no subscription and nothing that renews automatically. Questions after your prescription are answered in your private chat. If you need a new prescription later, you start a new consultation and the doctor reviews your answers again, because your health and medicines can change.
Safety and medical judgement4 questions
Every case is reviewed by an EU-licensed doctor who can ask follow-up questions, suggest another option or decline.
The doctor explains why and what to do next, and we refund the €35 fee in full.
Not always. ED tablets must never be combined with nitrates, such as some angina sprays and tablets, or with recreational poppers, because blood pressure can drop dangerously. Some blood-pressure and prostate medicines need extra care or a lower dose. List everything you take in the questionnaire, and if you get chest pain during sex, stop and call 112.
The most common are headache, flushing, a blocked nose and indigestion, and some tablets can cause back or muscle aches. They are usually mild and pass within hours. Rarely, an erection lasts more than four hours, or you suddenly lose vision or hearing: both need urgent care, so call 112. Tell your doctor in the chat about anything that bothers you.

Your €35 consultation fee is refunded in full within 48 hours if the doctor can't approve treatment.
€35 covers one consultation and the doctor's decision. Medicine is paid at your pharmacy.
Questions after your prescription are answered in your private chat.
If the doctor does not approve your consultation or review, the refund is issued within 48 hours and you do not need to ask for it. It goes back to your original payment method; how soon it shows on your statement depends on your bank.
It covers the Hi Doctor fee for the consultation or review that was not approved. The medicine is never paid to Hi Doctor: you pay your pharmacy for it, so it is not part of a refund from us. Once the medical review has started, the legal right of withdrawal no longer applies, so any other request is reviewed individually.
Refunds for consultations the doctor does not approve are automatic. For anything else, write to hello@hi-doctor.ai and tell us what happened. We review every request individually and pay approved refunds to the original payment method.
