Premature ejaculation: A separate dapoxetine assessment for persistent early ejaculation that causes distress. Emergency contraception: Time-sensitive advice after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure, including oral options and when an IUD may be preferable. Urinary tract infection: A focused review of lower-UTI symptoms, antibiotic suitability and warning signs that need in-person care. Chlamydia: Testing, treatment and partner guidance for suspected or confirmed chlamydia. HIV PrEP: Preventive HIV care with baseline checks, a suitable PrEP schedule and regular follow-up testing.

How much does sexual-health care cost, and when will I hear back?

Every sexual-health pathway is a €35 one-off consultation. Sexual health is not included in a subscription. A doctor's review arrives in under 4 hours on average; this is an average, not a guaranteed response time. Medication is paid for separately at the pharmacy if prescribed.

What treatments are there for erectile dysfunction?

The most common are PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, avanafil). In specific cases topical alprostadil is used. The doctor selects the most suitable option based on your history, current medication, and lifestyle.

Are PDE5 inhibitors safe?

Accepted Answer

These are medications with decades of clinical use and generally well tolerated. But they are contraindicated if you take nitrates or have severe cardiovascular disease. That's why the questionnaire explicitly asks about cardiac medication — it's not a formality.

Are there alternatives if the tablets don't work for me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Topical alprostadil is a second-line option. In resistant cases, the doctor may recommend an in-person urology referral to evaluate other causes (hormonal, vascular, psychological).

How discreet is everything handled?

Fully. All communication happens through the private chat on your account. We send nothing by postal mail with the Hi-Doctor name visible; the prescription is digital.

Hi-Doctor is a telemedicine service. We are not a pharmacy, we don't sell medications, we don't ship anything. What we do is provide an online medical consultation with an EU-licensed doctor. If the doctor concludes that a treatment is right for you, they issue an electronic prescription that you fill at any pharmacy in the European Union.

Yes. Hi-Doctor is operated by HI DOCTOR AI SL, a company registered in Spain, and every consultation is reviewed by a doctor registered with an EU medical council. The prescribing doctor's registration number appears on each prescription, so any pharmacy can verify it independently. We are a telemedicine service, not a pharmacy: we do not sell or ship medicine, and the doctor can decline to prescribe.

Do I need to travel or do a video call?

No. The entire process is asynchronous and written. You fill in an online questionnaire, the doctor reviews it, messages you in the private chat on your account if they need clarifications, and issues the prescription when appropriate. There is no video call by default — only if the doctor requests one.

It is written, not a video call. You complete a questionnaire, the doctor reads it and messages you in the private chat inside your account if anything needs clarifying. Nothing is scheduled, so you are never waiting for an appointment slot, and the whole exchange stays as a written record attached to your case. A doctor can request a video call in the rare cases where one is clinically necessary.

An EU-licensed doctor. They review the questionnaire personally — no AI decides for them. If a case is unclear, we reach out before issuing any prescription.

The questionnaire takes roughly 4 minutes. A doctor's medical review arrives in under 4 hours on average. If they need extra information, they message you in the private chat; this average is not a guaranteed response time.

Can I choose my doctor?

Accepted Answer

For the first consultation, we assign the doctor with the most appropriate specialty for your case. For follow-ups, we keep continuity with the same clinician whenever possible.

Is it safe to be treated through an online channel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when a licensed doctor evaluates the case with sufficient information. Our questionnaire is designed to capture exactly the data a clinician needs to decide whether a treatment is safe for you. If your case is not suitable for an online channel, we say so and refer you to an in-person specialist.

What happens if my case isn't suitable for treatment?

We message you explaining why. For a one-off consultation, we refund the €35 consultation fee within 48 hours. For a plan review, we refund that period's fee and cancel the plan. Whenever it makes sense, we suggest an alternative: an in-person visit, prior lab work, or a different treatment.

What if I have side effects?

We reply to messages about side effects in under 4 hours on average. This is not an emergency service: for chest pain, a severe allergic reaction or another medical emergency, call 112.

Can you prescribe any medication?

Accepted Answer

No. We only prescribe medicines within the pathways we offer and when a doctor considers them appropriate. This can include antibiotics for chlamydia or a urinary tract infection after the required clinical review. We do not prescribe strong psychotropics or opioids through these pathways.

Is my data secure?

We comply with GDPR and applicable EU data-protection law. Data is stored encrypted on servers inside the European Union and is never shared with third parties for commercial purposes. Only the authorized medical team has access to your record.

Only the doctor reviewing your case and authorized medical staff. Your information is never used for advertising or sent to outside partners.

Can I delete or export my data?

Yes. Email hello@hi-doctor.ai to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability; we respond within 30 days. Some health records must be retained for 5 years after the last consultation to meet applicable medical-legal duties.
