TREATMENT GUIDE

Dapoxetine treatment guide

Everything you need to know about dapoxetine for premature ejaculation — how to take it, what to expect, managing side effects, and when to contact your doctor.

How to use

Step 1

Take 1-3 hours before activity

Take one tablet with a full glass of water, 1 to 3 hours before anticipated sexual activity. Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours.

Step 2

Take with or without food

Dapoxetine can be taken with or without food. Avoid heavy meals close to the time of sexual activity for best results.

Step 3

Alcohol caution

Limit alcohol consumption while taking dapoxetine. Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects like dizziness and drowsiness.

Dose schedule

1

When to contact your doctor

  • Fainting or severe dizziness
  • Mood changes or unusual thoughts
  • The medication is not working after 4 weeks

Storage

Store at room temperature below 25°C. Keep in the original packaging to protect from light and moisture. Do not use after the expiry date on the carton.

What to expect

Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) specifically developed for premature ejaculation. It increases the time to ejaculation and improves control. It is taken as needed, not daily. Your doctor will review your progress after 4 weeks — if effective, treatment can continue; if not, the dose may be adjusted or an alternative considered.
