FREQUENTLY ASKED

About Acne

Does Hi-Doctor treat Acne?

Not today. Hi-Doctor focuses on three areas — hair growth, weight management and sexual health — and Acne is outside that scope. Our doctors can't review the case through the platform.

Will you add Acne in the future?

We expand the catalogue as new specialists join Hi-Doctor and country-level regulation allows it. You can drop your email below and we'll notify you if Acne comes onto the platform.

What does Hi-Doctor recommend in the meantime?

If your question fits any of our three areas, an EU-licensed doctor reviews it in under 24 h for €25. If not, we recommend seeing an in-person specialist with experience in the specific indication.

What will you use my email for?

Only to notify you when Acne is available on Hi-Doctor. We don't share data with third parties. We're GDPR-compliant and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Can I join the waiting list from Coímbra?

Yes. Hi-Doctor runs 100% online across the EU. When Acne becomes available, we'll email you and you'll be able to start the consultation from Coímbra without travelling. If the treatment requires a prescription, the electronic prescription we issue is valid at any EU pharmacy under Directive 2011/24/EU.

What does a Hi-Doctor doctor review in an online consultation?

Your clinical history, current medication, allergies, relevant family history and the goals you share in the questionnaire. Everything through the private chat in your account — no WhatsApp, no SMS. The doctor decides if the case is eligible and explains it in under 24 h.

What is a electronic prescription and why is it valid across the EU?

prescription is the Spanish electronic private medical prescription issued by a licensed doctor in Spain. It is a PDF carrying every field required by EU Directive 2011/24/EU (patient, prescriber with country of registration, active ingredient, dose), which makes it legally recognised across all 27 EU member states. In Spanish pharmacies it is dispensed from the QR; outside Spain, the pharmacist dispenses the locally marketed equivalent of the same active ingredient.

How does Hi-Doctor work step by step?

1) Fill in an online medical questionnaire in about 4 minutes. 2) An EU-licensed doctor reviews your case and replies in under 24 h through the private chat in your account. 3) If eligible, the doctor issues an electronic electronic prescription. 4) You collect it at any EU pharmacy. The consultation costs €25 and, if the doctor decides it is not safe to prescribe, the full amount is refunded.
