What Sermorelin is, and how to get treatment
Sermorelin is a laboratory-made copy of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone, the natural signal that tells the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. It has a real regulatory history: it was approved in the United States as Geref, as a test of pituitary function and for growth hormone deficiency in children, but the manufacturer discontinued it and the US approvals were withdrawn in 2009 — the regulator later confirmed this was not for reasons of safety or effectiveness. It has never held a European Union marketing authorisation, so no doctor here can prescribe it. What is sold today by online peptide sellers and anti-ageing clinics is unlicensed material made outside medicines manufacturing rules, sold for body-composition and anti-ageing uses it was never approved for, with contents and purity that cannot be verified.

What has been reported with Sermorelin.
No current approved product information
Both US marketing authorisations (NDA 19-863 and NDA 20-443, held by EMD Serono) were withdrawn effective 18 June 2009 after the company discontinued the product, and sermorelin has never held an EU marketing authorisation. There is therefore no current approved product information anywhere setting out doses, contraindications or side effects.
The withdrawal was commercial, not a safety finding
The FDA determined in 2013 that GEREF (sermorelin acetate) injection "was not withdrawn from sale for reasons of safety or effectiveness". This is an important distinction: it was discontinued by its manufacturer, not banned. It still does not make today's unlicensed supply safe or lawful to prescribe.
Approved uses were narrow and are not the uses it is sold for
GEREF was approved as a pituitary function test (0.05 mg/amp) and for idiopathic growth hormone deficiency in children with growth failure (0.5 and 1.0 mg/vial). It was never approved for adult body composition, fat loss or anti-ageing, which are the uses it is marketed for online.

Material sold today by online peptide sellers and anti-ageing clinics is made outside medicines manufacturing rules, so strength, purity and contents are unverifiable.
