What GHRP-6 is, and how to get treatment
GHRP-6 is a laboratory-made peptide that switches on the ghrelin receptor, which triggers the pituitary gland to release growth hormone and also causes a strong increase in hunger. It has never been authorised as a medicine in the European Union or anywhere else, and no doctor can prescribe it. There is no completed human trial showing it is safe or effective for the muscle-building and "anti-ageing" uses it is sold for, and regulators have flagged effects on cortisol and blood sugar. It is supplied online as a research chemical made outside medicines manufacturing rules, so its contents and purity cannot be verified.
GHRP-6 has no EU marketing authorisation for this use. It may be an approved medicine for something else, or approved in another country — but not something a doctor here can prescribe for this.

Effects on cortisol and blood sugar
The US Food and Drug Administration states that available data "reveal safety concerns including potential effect on cortisol and increase in blood glucose due to decreases in insulin sensitivity".
Placed on the FDA's safety-risk list
GHRP-6 was added on 29 September 2023 to category 2 of the FDA's interim bulk drug substances policy — substances that may present significant safety risks — and remains listed there.
Impurity and immunogenicity risk
The FDA notes preparations "may pose risk for immunogenicity for certain routes of administration due to the potential for aggregation and peptide-related impurities".
No registered human efficacy trials
A search of the public trials register returns no registered clinical trial of GHRP-6 as an intervention. There is no completed human trial supporting the uses it is sold for.
