Passo 1
Take 0.5 mg once daily as prescribed
Swallow the soft capsule whole with or without food. Do not chew or open it. Dutasteride use for hair loss is off-label even though the 0.5 mg capsule is an authorised medicine for another condition.

Passo 2
Avoid duplicate DHT blockers
Do not add finasteride or another dutasteride product without medical review. Take a missed dose when remembered unless the next is near; do not take two together.

Months 0–3
Take one capsule daily. Early changes may be subtle, and temporary shedding does not by itself show whether treatment will help.

Passo 2
Months 3–6 and beyond
Review photographs, tolerance, sexual or mood effects, and whether continued off-label treatment remains appropriate. Do not increase the dose to speed results.

Sexual and reproductive effects
Reduced libido, erection or ejaculation changes, and changes in semen parameters can occur. Discuss fertility plans before and during treatment.
Breast, mood, and allergy symptoms
Breast tenderness or enlargement and mood changes have been reported. Facial swelling, widespread rash, or breathing difficulty requires urgent care.

- A breast lump or nipple discharge, severe low mood, or sexual effects that concern you
- A capsule leaks or is handled by someone who is pregnant or could become pregnant
- You are planning fertility treatment, blood donation, or a prostate-specific antigen test
Armazenamento
Store below the temperature stated on the pack, commonly 30°C, in the original package to protect from moisture. Keep leaking capsules away from women, children, and adolescents; wash exposed skin with soap and water.
O que esperar
Hair treatment is gradual. Early shedding can occur, and photographs taken in the same light are more useful than day-to-day checking. The doctor normally reviews tolerance and progress after several months; continue only while the balance of benefit and risk remains appropriate.
